Frequently asked questions

Tutto quello che mi chiedete più spesso su spedizioni, imballaggio, garanzia di attecchimento e pagamenti. Se non trovi la risposta, scrivimi a info@florilegio.online: rispondo entro 24 ore.

How long do the plants take to arrive?
I ship on Mondays and Tuesdays by express courier: 24–48h within Italy, 2–3 working days to nearby Europe, 3–5 to the rest of the Union. Insulated packaging, a heat pack in winter. Free shipping within Italy over €75.
How do you pack the plants for the journey?
Slightly moist substrate, leaves protected with tissue, pot braced with card, inner box. In winter I add a 24h self-heating pack. In three years of shipping: zero plants have arrived dead.
What do I do when the plant arrives?
Settle it in for 7–10 days: do NOT repot, do NOT fertilise, do NOT move it. Leave it where it lands, in indirect light and high humidity. Only afterwards, gradually, move it to its final spot.
Are the cuttings already rooted?
Yes. I only sell cuttings with visible roots (over 3 cm) or plantlets already standing on their own. No freshly cut stems sitting in water. The product photos always show the real state.
What is the "establishment guarantee"?
On your first purchase, if the plant fails to establish within 30 days while following my care sheet, I replace it free or refund you. It applies only to plants with a complete care sheet, not to multiple orders.
Payments: which methods do you take?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), PayPal and Klarna. Everything goes through Stripe: card details never touch my site and I never store them. PayPal and Klarna only appear among the options if they are available for your country and your order amount.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes, anywhere in the European Union, with the plant passport that EU law requires. The zones are set by days in transit, not by border: nearby Europe (Austria, Germany, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Benelux, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary) 2–3 days at €19.90; the rest of the Union 3–5 days at €27.90. Outside the EU, no: Switzerland and the UK need a phytosanitary certificate and customs clearance, and I would rather not send a tropical plant through a process I do not control.
Can I collect in person?
Yes, by appointment in Ferrara. Write to info@florilegio.online with your order and I will suggest some times.
When will the "coming soon" plants be available?
The status is live in the catalogue. Species coming from partner nurseries are expected between early and mid May 2026. They then spend 7–10 days settling in here before they can ship.
Can I reserve a cutting that is still rooting?
Yes, with a 30% deposit. I send a photo every 2 weeks until the cutting is ready. Typical timings: 3–6 weeks for aroids, 6–10 for Begonias from leaf.
