The "Dark Form" of Begonia burkilii, with near-black velvety leaves and contrasting pale veins. A collector species native to Borneo, happiest in humid, shaded terrarium conditions.

How to propagate it
- Choose a mature, healthy leaf with its petiole, or a section of rhizome with at least one node
- Cut with a sterile blade and let the cut dry for 20–30 minutes
- Lay the leaf (or the rhizome) on moist sphagnum, touching it but not buried
- Close it in a propagator or cabinet: humidity above 80%, 22–25°C, indirect light
- The first plantlets appear in 4–8 weeks
- Separate and pot up once each plantlet has 2–3 leaves of its own
