HESI Hydro Growth 1 L
NPK 3-2-4 feed for the vegetative stage in hydroponics and inert substrates.
Made for inert substrates, where the plant finds only what you give it: the salts are already in the form roots take up and do not need the microbial life of potting soil to become available.
Besides NPK 3-2-4 with magnesium, calcium and chelates, it contains vitamins, amino acids and biological stimulants that help build a healthy biofilm around the roots — which is what keeps the microflora in balance and gives the plant something to anchor to.
It is worth being honest about what semi-hydro involves. Managed well it grows faster and yields more, and it is a cleaner environment with less disease; in exchange it wants an initial outlay, a period of learning, and monitoring of EC and pH. The margin for error is narrower. Soil is the opposite: it forgives feeding mistakes and asks for no equipment, but it is the organic matter fungus gnats and thrips thrive on.
The dose is 50 ml per 10 litres of solution, that is 5 ml per litre. In the growth stage the reference parameters are EC up to 1.5 mS/cm and pH between 5.8 and 6.2: if your tap water is hard, the pH needs correcting.

How to use it
With the mineral mix, at every top-up of the reservoir. Check the pH if your tap water is very hard: outside the 5.8–6.2 range the plant does not take it up, even though the nutrition is there.
