Self-watering pot with clear insert
Outer pot with reservoir, removable clear insert, and a cotton wick included.
Three pieces working together: the outer pot holds the water reservoir, the clear insert holds the plant, and a cotton wick carries water up from below by capillary action. The wick is included in every size except the 23 cm, which has a capillary base instead and does not need one.
The insert lifts out so you can look at the roots without disturbing the root ball, and drops back in two seconds. There is a level indicator on the side, so you never have to open anything to know whether the reservoir is empty: roots seek the moisture and grow towards it on their own, and the cycle settles.
One thing the pot itself does not tell you, though. This system is made for MINERAL and semi-hydro substrates, not for potting soil: with an organic mix the water rising from below keeps it sodden, which is the fastest way to get the opposite of what you wanted. And since a mineral substrate holds no nutrients at all, fertiliser is not optional here — it is the only source the plant has.

How to use it
Fill the insert with a mineral substrate, fit the wick and fill the reservoir. Water from above the first time to prime the capillary action. Feed at every top-up: there is no nutrition in a mineral substrate, and without fertiliser the plant starves in a perfectly damp pot.
